London-based photographer Janie Airey has been shooting commercially for 16 years. The majority of her work is a mixture of lifestyle and portraits taken for a variety of high-profile companies, both nationally and internationally.
"Most of my clients are Design agencies so you are normally working to an art director’s brief and have to consider space in an image as well as subject matter… taking into consideration where text can sit within the image is important" - says Airey.
She is more recently known for her architectural work.
"After a commission by the ODA to photograph the 2012 Olympic venues I have been shooting much more architecture, and ‘people in spaces’ for clients which is great… I love mixing it up and it’s great to explore new avenues to help keep your work fresh".
