Robert “Mistah” Stitt

Photography has been a long-time hobby for me. I enjoy capturing moments in time, as well as capturing interesting scenes and architecture. I started as a teen, but put it aside for my career. Now retired, I’ve returned. The lesson I learned about photography, which drives me to this day, is the impact a photograph can have on an individual. Allow me to explain. When I was young I witnessed family and others who struggled with various memory issues. As it progressed they lived being only a shell of themselves. However, once a certain photograph or photographs were placed before them, they were suddenly back although briefly. The family was able to share yet another special moment and both were happy. For me, there’s no better reason to engage in photography, because you never know what from the present or past will “energize” someone in need of seeing it.
