Jean François Fils Rigaud, known by the artistic name (Plur), is a self-taught photographer born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in May 1996. From an early age, it displayed a natural inclination towards the arts expressing creativity through drawing characters and painting. However, it was his fascination with scenes and lighting in movies and commercials from National/International TV that ultimately led him down the path of photography. In 2013, he picked up a camera and explored his world threw the lens. With a background in graphic design, he seamlessly merged his skills in drawing and composition with the newfound medium of photography. This unique blend allowed him to bring his imagination to life, offering an alternative artistic perspective to everything he saw, touched, and felt in his mind. Jean possesses an innate ability to create and envision narratives from his imagination. The process of conceptualizing and building artistic compositions has always come naturally to him. It was during this time that he fell in love with the power of conceptual and storytelling photography. With each photograph, He endeavors to tell a captivating story, inviting viewers into his imaginative world. His work often combines visual aesthetics with profound narratives, allowing viewers to engage deeply with the images and unravel their hidden meanings.
