Retired, travel as often as possible. I bought my first SLR in 1967. It was an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic that a friend picked up for me in Hong Kong. It had match-needle metering and had to be stopped down to fire. My first lenses were the "kit" 50mm f1.8 and a Vivitar 135mm f3.5 (A lens that gave me some of the richest and best contrast images I have ever taken). I fell in love with the Olympus OM series in the 1970s as I progressed from the OM-1 to an OM-4 using a variety Zuiko, Vivitar and Kiron lenses. I shot mostly family stuff and vacations. After the kids left home in the early '80s, l pretty much abandoned photography for about twenty years. Around 2005, I decided to try digital with a Nikon D70 and then a D300. This renewed my passion. I have since settled on a smaller kit of an Olympus OMD E-M1 and E-M10 with a few Zuiko zooms and primes. I have also flirted with a few Sony cameras as well (RX1, RX100). My wife and I are both retired and have been lucky enough to be able to travel widely, mostly on expeditions with Lindblad/National Geographic. This is reflected in many of the images I have posted. However, in the past few years I have found that I have a passion for, and a mild talent in, photographing people. Some of these photographs are also included here. If you have read this far, thank you for your interest. I will continue to post images for you to enjoy. Cheers, Richard
