I started doing photography around 2011 as a hobby. I am self taught and have spent many hours watching Youtube videos and reading photography books. My full job was in nursing at Vidant Medical Center. After 28 years at Vidant it was time for me to retire. Now I can spend more time doing what I love. There is so much beauty in our state. North Carolina is incredibly diverse, from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the outer banks. Sunrise to sunset, always something to photograph. One of my favorite things to do is get up very early and just start driving and looking for anything that catches my eye. I never know where I will end up or what I will come across, from landscapes, flowers, wildlife to people. If an old barn or house catches my eye it will get photographed.
