I have been an amateur photographer since 1960. I am and have been taking pictures of many different things. I like cats and other animals. Often I was asked to take portrait shots. I served almost 8 years in the US Army and I traveled a lot. I have numerous old slides that I am in process to convert to jpg files. I use a Nikon D200 with a special lens attachment to take pictures of the slides; I do not scan them. In 2005, I switched to digital cameras. I keep post editing on the computer to a minimum, if at all. I use my cameras and lenses to take the pictures, not a computer program. I also do macro (micro) photography. At one time, I specialized in object photography. I still do.
