Ro Pitfield

Rosemary Pitifield (1963, Toronto, Canada) has always painted wildlife and nature in watercolour and oil paints, bringing the subject to life by creating an airy, flowing feel. Her paintings establish a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined by its conceived. She tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way, trying to involve the viewer in a surprising way, giving them a glimpse of wildlife in its scerenity. Her form is realism, capturing the most delicate elements of the animal or bird. She is also an avid amateur photographer who explores the the emotion of her subjects. Rosemary Pitifield currently lives and works in Vernon, Ontario, on a farm with her husband and three dogs.
