A photographer on my own time for 30+ years. I enjoy a range of subjects. Mostly do street photography, cityscapes and travel. Eons ago I took to occupational portraits and some abstract work, which sometimes seeps into my current work. I began with medium format film (with a trusty Mamiya C-220) and switched over to digital somewhat reluctantly as darkroom access became a challenge and a serious cost. I've only really embraced digital in the last few years. I'm only now striking a balance between digital (with a digital camera body) and my film background (with a fully manual lens). Some of my favorite photographers are: Bill Brandt, August Sander, Inge Morath, Elliott Erwitt, Arnold Newman, and Robert Polidori. I joined Photocrowd in June 2023, but have been sharing images on Flickr since 2004 or thereabouts. Looking to do more with my body of work; as such, I'm open to ideas and advice on what I could do with my photographs.
