My photographic journey has focused on the essential elements of people living outside the mainstream and my city's changing face. I have strived to move beyond the clichés of Vancouver, Canada's natural beauty, the pieties of representing our downtown east side, and the evergreen surprise at the wealth that increasingly surrounds us. I hope I am doing so with humor and generosity. But it's not a hidden Vancouver I have endeavored to represent. Everything is clear if we open our eyes to it, which has been my photography goal.
