I am Sudipta Chatterjee, a Street, Travel and Documentary photographer and Chairman of ‘Pixel M Photo Club’ – a registered photography club of India under Federation of Indian Photography. I was born and raised in West Bengal, India. Right from my childhood, I loved to see photos and fortunately enough I got my first camera – ‘Agfa Click III’ as a prize in a recitation competition when I was around twelve years old. While in my job life, I bought a SLR camera – ‘Minolta 300X’ to fulfill my dreams. However, I had to step aside from my dreams of becoming a photographer for a long time before I would embark on my photography journey as a again in the year of 2012. My photographs have been selected and published in different Photo competitions in National (India) & International platforms (Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Albania, Lithuania, Cyprus, Russia, UK), National Geographic Your Shot, 1X.com, 35 Awards, Chiiz Magazine; and bagged Awards (National & International). I have achieved Awards with Distinction (Artist AFIAP) from Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (France) (in 2019) Recognized by UNESCO and EFIP (Excellence FIP) (in 2019) from Federation of Indian Photography (India). In my view, a good photographer must be both creative and technically sound, who can capture not only a photograph but also create a story.
