Very new to photography and a totally self taught amateur. My first "proper" camera was a Nikon D40 that I didn't really know how to use or do anything with and I only had the kit lens that it came with. It spent many years gathering dust until about 2 years ago my interest in photography re-emerged. Needing a new camera I went for a Canon EOS 90D which had a steep learning curve. After the announcement of the Canon EOS R7 I put myself on the preorder list and waited... and waited... While waiting for my preorder to come in I read a lot of reviews online and started to doubt myself for my choice, seeing many reviews describe the R7 as being the same as the 90D. More time passed and still the R7 hadn't arrived so I bit the bullet and upgraded to the Canon EOS R5 instead and fell in love with it after the first few shots. Since then its almost never left my side, including when I was sent to Ireland for work at the start of the year.
