I was born and raised in Regina, SK. Canada, and lived here for most of my life. In 2005, I moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta Canada to go to college, and I spent the next 10 years living there. When I graduated from college, I bought myself my very first camera which is a Canon PowerShot S5IS. Never really thought about getting into photography at that time. I just bought it to take memorable pictures of family and friends. Later on, I joined the Medicine Hat Photography Club as a way mostly to meet new people; however, I just kept heading down the path of photography instead. I have learned a lot for everyone within the club and try to apply those skills and techniques. to my own skills. I also consider their point of views about subject matter that I probably would not have considered had I not joined the club. Surprisingly, I have had some "success" with photography that I wasn't expecting. Some of my pictures had been printed in the local Medicine Hat news paper, and I also had The Royal Canadian Museum ask me if they could use some of my pictures of water foul and add them to their registry. I am also a member of the Canadian Geographic Photography Club and had some of my pictures printed in calendars and a Can-Geo Canadian quiz booklet. Regardless of whatever "success" I may encounter along the way, photography to me I find is relaxing. It takes me to places I've never seen before and enjoy the people, places, nature and environment that's around me.
