Basically a holiday snapper who loves blue skies (hence usually with a polariser in place). Five years living / working in France and eighteen months doing the same in Nassau gave me lots of chances to take sunny pictures; although every now and again I manage a worthwhile image in the rain. I like composing shots in the camera and do very little to alter them post-taking. I see a photo as a moment in time and try not to change the past. If I take a disappointing shot, I leave it alone and move on. I was a keen user of Kodachrome/Ektachrome transparency film before the advent of digital and am always pleased to rediscover a slide by scanning with my Epson scanner. I prefer natural light, so take few interior shots. Few of my subjects are posed - with the exception of my two mini-Dachshunds!
