Wavecrest

I’m 72 & was using a full frame canon outfit but was finding it too bulky & heavy to carry so traded everything in & have purchased a new OM3 camera with the 17mm f1.8 11 & 25mm f1.8 11 lenses but. I am now finding increasing difficulty in getting down onto the actual beach due to steep steps & seaweed covered slopes & walkways so decided to purchase a zoom lens & have added the M. Zuiko ED 40-150 f4 lens which is fully weather sealed & hopefully will provide me with some new photographic opportunities going forward. Although I will photograph anything which I find interesting my main domain is the beach which is right on my doorstep I love being there at sunrise & also during coastal storms & swells which produce some amazing images. Luckily I was born here & understand the hazards & tides etc. as the sea can be quite dangerous during stormy weather & high winds Iv’e see many people caught out over the years & getting a soaking. Due to age / health I’m not able to get out so much now so have decided to try my hand at macro photography, I have had some success with focus stacking on the. 40-150 zoom but have a macro lens arriving today so looking forward to this new venture.
