Show the judge some love...

Great contest!

I really like the softness and blurriness you've captured in this image. The shallow depth of field draws the eye to the petals in the foreground of the image well. The soft pastel tones within the image match the softness of the image, and I love the way you've captured the lighter tones around the flower fading into the darker tones at the edge of the image. A shot the fits the brief very well, well done!

I am in love with everything about this image. Compositionally, I really like the way you've used the alcove of rock to frame the top of the image, as it draws the focus to the curves of the rocks in the centre. The way the light fades the further down the image you look adds lots of nice different tones of colour into the image. I love the way the you've managed to create contrast within an image featuring just one colour with all the different tones of orange. An amazing shot, congratulations on first place!

I absolutely love this image. The rich tones of green within the image match the natural surroundings captured in the image, and I really like the light shining down from the top of the image. Composition wise, I think it would be interesting to see some more foliage in the foreground, as this would create some more nice bokeh and really help draw your eye to the people in the image. Overall, a great shot. Well done!

This image was one that caught my eye straight away. The rich tones within the green really stand out against the solid black background, and I love the shape that the leaves are spread out in. Composition wise, I really like the way you've used the leaves in the foreground to create some bokeh, and draw the eye to the leaves right in the centre. A great capture, well done!

This image is so simplistic yet so effective. I love the fact that the leaf takes up the whole frame, and the straight lines help to add structure. By capturing light shining on the leaf, you've been able to capture a variation of green tones within the image, and I love that you can see the textures inside the leaf as they add an interesting design to the image. A great shot, well done!
