I visited Silverton a few years ago and still regret the not spending more time. I missed the majority of the mines in the area. This image has inspired me to return. The long exposure and light in this image highlight the beauty of the area. While it might not be "technically perfect" it is the perfect image for this contest. Thank you for the entry.
I love this image. The centred composition creates a strong visual balance drawing me directly in to the the dark entrance and creating a strong sense of mystery. The earthy tones and cinematic lighting enhance the entire shot. I would love to see a version of it with the shaft entrance slightly more centred. Thank you for entering this is exactly the kind of image I was hoping to see,
The mines in Kennecott were the inspiration for this contest, so I was thrilled to see this image. I spent a lot of time taking shots here and this is an angle I missed. The strong leading lines create depth, and the upward angle adds scale and power. Thank you this is a visually powerful and and memorable image.
A striking shot of industrial heritage. This photo beautifully contrasts the vivid red mining structures against the moody sky. The reflection in the rain soaked foreground adds depth and atmosphere, while the surrounding green softens the scene. Excellent composition, rich colours and dramatic lighting make this image visually compelling. Thanks for entering.
This photo is bought to life by the vivid autumn colours and dramatic mountain scenery. It's a striking contrast between nature and industry. The rustic wooden mill anchors the composition beautifully while the bright sky and water add depth and atmosphere. The strong detail, rich tones and excellent framing make this such a compelling image. I enjoyed all of your entires, Thanks you.
