This really reminds me of a beehive and I love the way the light plays off the different angles of the windows which you have done really well to capture.

I would have liked to see a more central, one point perspective image which was symmetrical but not sure if it would even be possible on this building?

The tonality in this image is beautiful and it works really well in black and white.

The texture of the grates stand out really well against the smooth surfaces and it comes together to create an image you should be proud of.

This feels really pop art to me and I think your treatment of the image works really well showing that the camera you have with you is the best camera!

Framing is good I would just have liked to have seen a human element in it to really improve it.

This image works really well as a thumbnail, you can see your sky replacement slightly when it's blown up but I am being really picky there and the colours you have chosen do work really well together to create an eye catching shot.

Great shot!

As a thumbnail this stands out so well against other entries and really fits the brief well so well done, addition of the shadows makes the image for me and almost looks like an aerial shot without reading the description.

Get close enough to pretty much anything and you can shoot an effective abstract. Buildings are a particularly good subject for abstract photography given their use of varied materials, shapes, textures and colours. And they don’t always require you to be right up close, given that they are often large, and somewhat abstract in their design to begin with.

Quite a few shots of this staircase in this competition, it did pop into my top 10 for a while but having to choose between the slightly different angles pushed it out, it's a great shot just be more decisive in your choices next time.

There are quite a few stair shots in this competition but this one really stands out against the rest.

Your use of colours and negative space works really well, the black background helps the subject to stand off the page.

I really like the different textures in this image!

The use of the shadows work really well too and it almost chops it down to lots of tiny little images which I think works really well and totally ticks the brief!

I almost feel like I have seen this image before but the tonality and soft focus works really well and draws me in through the image.

The handling of the highlights throughout the image is perfectly balanced against the shadows.

I'm a massive fan of straight lines and this takes all the boxes!

The slight colour tone to this really helps it stand off a page and the framing with the slight tick upwards on the right hand side is great!

Great shot, the addition of the person really helps it pop.

I think if the building colour was anything but pastel the image would pop on the page even more but you have done really well with the subject in front of you.

This image was a late addition to the top 10 but i'm glad it's in here.

You've handled the tones in this really well and the highlights look really good, showing just enough detail to make me interested and the combination of straight and curved lines makes it a great shot which ticks the brief.

The pop of colour really makes this image stand out and you have framed the lady in the shot perfectly here all the lines draws me through the image towards her and even the direction of her hair works well to add to the overall image.

Congratulations on your top 3 placing!

Really nice capture, works in quite a few ways and has me questioning if it's a picture taken looking up or horizontal which is great.

The tonality of the image and how you have handle the shadows is good and the reflections work really well too.
