Absurdist Created Completely In-Camera

June 2017

Well done! This type of photo isn't easily realized, an I commend you giving it a go! Additionally, the composition is interesting and is supported by a pleasing texture. To really fit the absurd, however, I would have liked to see the sheers cutting something more bizarre.

I am, of course, a huge fan of splitter photography (it is my ain style). So, of course, I liked what you did with this photo. I'd only like to see the photo straightened a bit; and, perhaps, a more similar background in both exposures to make it look less like a collage. But, keep up the splitter work. I could see an entire splitter Avengers series!

Now that I'm writing this review, I'm honestly questioning why I didn't rate this photo higher. I appreciate the seriousness in the model's face—adding to the absurdity. I would only suggest more depth of field to help bring better focus to the love story between a man and his produce.

I really enjoy this photo due to its efficacy in simplicity. The concept is a good one. That being said, the alignments of both the "wall" corners and the bottle is unsettling in a way which detracts from the concept. I'd love to see this redone with cleaner lines. (It would have won except for this.)

This is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for when I created this competition. This is a great use of double exposure to make something absurd. And, while I'd like to see it more level, I'm very happy with the concept.

Well done. If you had used a macro lense and maximized depth of field to imitate a pro photo of actual models, this would have been a main contender. In any case, it made me smile, which is a good thing.

This photo is simple in its absurdity, which I enjoy. And, while I'd like to see it cropped a little tighter on the left, the central composition works for me to highlight the hair. Well done, keep up the good work.
