This is a really good example of cutting the ribbon and capturing the moment, there is a good tonal range of colours nothing is burnt out and the shutter speed was perfectly selected to show prop movement. I would have been tempted to crop a small part of the foreground and left a little more sky but that is my own take on a great shot
This interpreted my aim of air display moments in a very imaginative way the focus and camera settings were such that you captured the essence of movement without freezing the props, but the use of monochrome was the clincher thiswould have been how the aircraft looked at a 1930’s air display. Great Work

Air shows are one of the most popular ways of seeing aircraft, from pre-World War I through to modern day, and can feature both civilian and miltary aircraft. I would like to see your photographs capturing the best moments in an air show. All aircraft must be in flight and also please identify the venue of the air show in the photo description. As an avid air display attender, any shots that have been obviously edited in such a way to exaggerate danger will not be included in the judging. Please do not enter any photographs showing accidents.

A striking shot showing the Thunderbird marking against the sky, the contrast between sky, white airframe and black thunderbird is perfect, nothing is burnt out. I would have liked to have seen slightly less smoke trail with the rear aircrafton the left hand 1/3rd and it would have allowed for some dead spec for the formation to fly into but well done
A stunning shot of a remarkable hybrid, although the rotors are showing only a small amount of motion the tip vortices and exhaust show the movement so it is definitely not a static “ airfix model” shot. The sky shows interest and the background isn’t overpowering the main focus of the picture. Good job.
