An unusual picture which shows the final destination of this aircraft. The inclusion of the man on the steps adds scale and also gives an indication of the region the picture was taken due to the mans clothing. The picture makes me want to know more about the aircrafts history and what will be next for it, and what roll the man plays in that and what his connection to the aircraft is.
A good angle of view onto the aircraft that has good details throughout and a partial cockpit view. The cloud base and supporting colours throughout pull this image together and add atmosphere and impact. The spin on the propellors finish this image off well with plenty of detail and a real sense of 'coming home' about the picture.
This picture leaves the viewer in do doubt as to what is the main subject in the frame, but the supporting background adds context and location to the picture which works very well. Often we see aircraft isolated in the sky, but this one has so much to look at and enjoy and is a picture to be appreciated over and over.
A well grouped picture showing a real sense of control being displayed by the pilots. the crop works well and leaving some space in front of the aircraft makes for a settled composition. Good use of aperture to get a good depth of field and sharpness along the aircraft which ooze power. Having the cockpits and pilots in view makes this a strong overall image.
this is a moment caught at exactly the right time. The twin salute and display of the flag is perfectly timed and executed. The photographer clearly understand the importance of using a shutter speed slow enough to catch the movement in the props, but fast enough to obtain sharpness in the rest of the aircraft. A strong image captured in what looks like difficult harsh sunlight.
What a great moment! An unusual site which has been well caught with the additional bonus of having a good cockpit view of the pilot. This picture makes me want to be there to see this for myself. A fast moving aircraft low level that has been caught well, with good spin on the props. Great technique here by the photographer. The car in the frame adds an unusual but interesting element.
This is an image that puts a smile on the viewers face. A fine example of man and wildlife coexisting together. Being able to see the pilots face as he becomes one with the birds is quite something and one can only wonder what the pilot was thinking at this moment. A well exposed image with lots of details and captured from a good angle and viewpoint. It can be difficult to build a narrative into an aviation picture but this one has an extremely strong one.
A picture that oozes quality and has a real sense of 'being there' and one can almost feel what it was like at the moment this picture was taken. The background of the city partially blurred by the heat from the planes engines adds an interesting element and supporting narrative in tying the plane to a location. The colour palette used adds atmosphere and the portrait crop holds the picture together well with strong composition.
