I think that this is a completely stunning shot. For me, there are a range of factors that contribute to this being a fabulous photograph - the first one is that there are a huge amount of textures. There is the roughness of the glitter on the pencils, and the wood of the pencils, and then there are the smooth-looking water drops. The background is blurred, making it seem smooth, too. This instantly makes the photo seem appealing to any viewer. The other thing that makes me love this photo so much are the contrasting colours. You have ensured that colours are placed next to colours that will compliment them and make them seem brighter and bolder, such as blue against orange, and green against red and pink. This makes the colours throughout the photo seem brighter, and makes more of an impact on the viewer. This photo is on brief in a different way to the other entries - as well as there being actual glitter on the pencils, the range of colours and textures make the photo glitter in a more creative way. Overall, a fantastic and well thought-out image. Congratulations, and thank you for entering my competition.
This is a photograph that really makes me want to look again and again. The long exposure and pale colours of the surroundings make the scene seem tranquil and peaceful, however the sculpture in the centre of the image contradicts that - his presence in the photograph adds an almost menacing atmosphere to the photo. This shot is perfectly on brief in this competition, as the 'mirror man' is true to his name - he is undeniably shiny. One of the reasons I love this shot so much is because glittery or shiny things are often associated with bright, colourful images, however this photo shows that a black and white, slightly more daunting photo can be more impactful than bright colours. Thank you for entering my contest, and congratulations!
I don't know where to start! Every aspect of this photograph is perfection. It is absolutely on brief for this contest, with the shimmering snow surrounding the polar bear. The exposure is perfect - it has enabled you to capture each drop of snow in perfect focus. I love the fact that you have chosen to convert this scene into black and white, as it teams with the expression on the polar bear's face to make a beautifully tranquil image. For me, the blacked-out background is what makes this photograph so special. It makes the bright white of the snow and the polar bear's face seem even brighter. Thank you so much for entering my contest, and congratulations on your result!

As soon as I saw this photograph, I knew that it was definitely going to be placed in my Top Ten. In my opinion, everything in this photograph is almost perfect. The bright colours surrounding the hare make its darker fur stand out - I like the fact that the hare is positioned directly in the centre of the image, as it draws the viewer's eye directly to it, and the hare is in sharp focus. The photo is perfectly on brief, as the bokeh gives the image an instantly glittery atmosphere. In my opinion, the one thing I would change about this photograph is perhaps positioning the hare so that the eye is not obstructed by blades of grass. However, this photograph will remain in my mind for a long time. A beautifully executed shot - well done, and thank you for entering!

What a stunning shot! Each orb of water that the bear is shaking off is in perfect sharp focus, and the bear itself is in such sharp focus that I feel that I could count every hair on its head. The blurring of the background draws the eye of the viewer instantly to the bear's content expression. A beautifully executed photo - well done, and thank you for entering!
The lighting in this photograph is completely magical. This is one of those shots in which you almost cannot tell what it is immediately, which I love. You have managed to perfectly capture the effect of movement as the goose bathes itself in the water. Overall, a stunning shot. Congratulations, and thank you for entering my contest!
I love the distance in this shot - the shallow depth of field almost confuses the eye, as the spider web slips in and out of focus against the background of bokeh. The cobweb is nice and sharp in the places where it is in focus. For me, this shot perfectly captures the atmosphere of a walk in the woods, as you can see the light filtering through tree-like shapes in the background. Overall, a beautiful shot and congratulations on your result!
