I love the expression in the eyes as the mountain lion looks up, not to mention the unique pose! The lighting on the subject and the background really help him...or her to pop out in the picture. I like how you chose black and white, I feel like it brings more emotion to the image. Thanks for entering, I loved judging this contest! Congrats on 1st!

First of all your subject is adorable! That aside I must compliment you as it is quite an accomplishment to not come up with a blown out photograph with the motion and the background. I love how the snow flying off her paws is in focus and the timing on the shot is perfect! I really enjoyed this image! Thank you for your entry!

Please show me your best photos of American wild cats. These consist of bobcat, lynx, ocelot, cougar, jaguar, and jaguarundi. Please only enter photos of the subject in the wild or with the appearance of being in the wild. I do not wish to see fences, cages, or leashes, absolutely nothing that suggests captivity. Photos can be in black and white or in colour. I look forward to judging your entries.

These two just melt my heart! Part of the reason I picked this photo for the top ten was because of how rare it is to see two mountain lions together in a photo. Although they are in human care they do have the appearance of being wild as I asked in the brief and they certainly seem happy. I adore the snow covered backs and playful expressions! Thanks for entering and I wish these two the best of luck.

Although this photo was a bit dark the subject matter and timing were both outstanding! It is rare to photograph two lynx together, let alone actually grooming each other! This is so heart warming and captures a great emotion! Thank you for your entry!
