A staged piece and a composite I daresay but really well thought out and put together.
The girl/young lady thrusts out from the frame projecting a real sense of anger and teenage angst. What’s really clever is the inclusion of the teddy bear which blurs the distinction between little girl and young woman.
A fine image and well worthy of a top ten placing.
It’s very difficult to capture a spontaneous display of genuine anger but this photographer was in the right place at just the right time and what an expression that is. I think that number 13 best drop his arm pretty quickly for fear of it being bitten off
Just as an aside, this picture illustrates very well why I never liked rugby at school. It’s a game played by big fearsome men with funny shaped balls.
Congratulations on a top spot.
Mr Angry indeed and what a great image this is.
The body posture, bare chest, bunched muscles, straining neck and fierce snarl encapsulate a strong feeling of anger and fit the contest brief perfectly. The addition of the steam is a clever idea and completes the illusion of a man literally blowing his top.
This is evidently not a man to get on the wrong side of and I wouldn’t dare award first place to anyone else :)
Congratulations on your winning entry.

Please show me your best photographs that you feel convey the human emotion of anger. Perhaps not one of the more noble of human emotions but anger is something that all of us experience and is perhaps a way to let off steam without resorting to violence. You may for example show me pictures of angry people or indeed of objects or situations that make you personally feel angry. Please be as creative as possible in your interpretation of the brief but do not show scenes of explicit violence. Colour and monochrome entries are both acceptable.
