WOW, this is an amazing image. The colours you have captured are stunning. The bird is pin sharp as is the whole image. The composition of the image is great. I like how the Pheasant is stood on the natural tree/log. The feathers are beautifully captured especially how you have the motion as a blur on the very ends of the feathers. An absolutely brilliant, worthy winner.
Though this is just the back of a giraffe's head you have captured it stunningly well. The entire image is pin sharp and has great colours and tones. I love how there is a bird on the neck of the giraffe as it adds another element and point of interest to the image. The composition is great. A wonderful image of a giraffe from behind.
Wonderful is the first words that comes into my mind when I look at this image. That crooked ear is so sweet. The tones in black and white are beautiful. They add more atmosphere to the image. I also really like how peaceful the image is. Archie obviously loves to go to the beach and sit pondering about life. The ripples in the sand add detail to the foreground too. The image is also pin sharp. Well done for a cracking, sweet warming image.

This made it into the top ten as it is such an unusual image that has been captured technically perfect. The hippo is pin sharp and well composed. I like the bits of what I think to be straw floating around as it makes the image look natural. The rock next to it adds interest as well. The subtle brown tone to the image works too. A lovely image to see, well done.

Crikey, this image packs a punch. The orange colour and tone is stunning and really captures your eye. I like the position of the Zebra and how it stands out. You have given it enough room to run into as well. I like the bird that seems to be flying with the Zebra as well. A cracking image, well done.
This is a wonderful image. You get a real sense of peace when you look at it. I especially like the paw of the tiger being on show as it's a good focal point. The colours, tones and contrast are lovely. I like the sun being on the tiger's back and how the stripes stand out. A great image, well done.
WOW, this is amazing. Not only have you managed to capture three Polar Bears in one image but they are also from behind. The composition is spot on and the entire image has beautiful tones and contrast. I like how it looks like a black and white image but isn't. You can tell as the fur has a lovely yellow tone to it. A stunning pin sharp image, well done.
This contest was crammed with stunning images and not enough places for them all. Yours stood out for me as it is a wild animal. Also it is a more unusual image to see of a fox. I like the snow on its back and how the fox is fixed on a specific spot. I love the vast area of white as it truly shows how the wilderness gets its name. A lovely, pin sharp and well composed image. Well done.
This contest was crammed with stunning images and not enough places for them all. Yours stood out for me as I have never seen one Adder let alone two together like this. The composition of the image is brilliant as there's plenty of room for the snakes to dance into. The detail on them is amazing and pin sharp. A great, stand out image. Well done.

Meet the judge
I want to say thankyou for the effort you went to entering my contest. You have managed to find and capture a lovely image. I found it especially hard judging as there were so many stunning entries and not enough places for them. The only thing that put me off a little was the concrete as it doesn't look natural. But the image is still amazing and after all you can't tell the bird where to fly! Well done for a lovely capture which is sharp and well composed. The bird's position is great too.
This is crazy! How you managed to see this happening is great in itself, but to also capture it pin sharp as well is incredible. You have definitely captured the bear from behind too. It is great to see that though you probably didn't have much time to compose this shot you have composed it stunningly well.
