Animals on Fences (in colour)

This is one of those photos that immediately stands out as photographic artwork.

The light brown bokah background beautifully compliments the incredibly captured browns, blues, and silver of the bird, like a matte around a painting.

Both the bird and the fence post are in incredible detail, with protruding nails next to claws holding a morsel.

This image has real staying power... a piece of artwork.

This is the image I kept coming back to over and over.

It begins by drawing me to the beautiful brown chipmonk, set off by the green foreground and blurred green background.

The clarity continued to satisfy as I zoomed in... demonstrating the quality as this image could easily have been cropped into additional beautiful images. Well shot.

I love this image. Even though most of the background looks snowy, the inviting pose, intimately cropped, brings a warmth and chill vibe.

Upon finer inspection, the details continue to impress into the fur and clear reflections in the eyes.

Well done.

There's a lot to love about this image. Things that make this so much more than just another squirrel on the fence!

First, the profile view is incredibly complimented by the angle of the sunlight across altering across limbs and back.

Second, the fence itself is interesting in its broken state, creating eye catching curves under the squirrel.

Finally, the squirrel is posed perfectly, carrying something that is prickly and interesting, and is on the one spot in the sunlight along the fence.

This image is a great capture (both the dragonfly and the photo!)

At first glance the viewer is rewarded with a particularly clear eye, feathers, and beak, holding a nearly as long irredescent blue dragonfly.

But the longer the gaze, the more levels of detail emerge. All four wings of the dragonfly. The sunlight shimmering in the wings. ALL the feathers of the bird. Beautiful shot. Congratulations.

I love the simplicity of this picture. The lighting is just beautiful, highlighting the bird, making his feathers so unique, soft and almost ethereal. You've got a great lens and it shows in the clarity of the photo. (I've got a Tamron too and just love it!)
