Architectural Street Photography

There were many fantastic entries into this competition. On my first go through I had 40 images ranked as "top 10" and it was difficult to whittle down so why did I pick this one.

This is a very simple image yet mesmerising. I found the simple lines in the architecture and lone figure combined beautifully with the light and shadow.

There are so many compelling elements within this image. The marvellous light, architecture, atmospheric mist and an clear focal point.

All of these are combined with skillful execution to make a truly captivating image. Well deserving of a place in the top 10

Street photography in crowded areas can be challenging with images often suffering from lack of a central focal point and information overload for the viewer.

This photographer has used a longer exposure to create a fascinating effect against the backdrop of the very popular and often crowded Millennium Bridge in London.

The dynamic combination of abstract and street photography is superbly executed and creates an eye catching that leaves the viewer wondering how they did it.

Highly original and would love to try something similar, deserving of a place in the top ten.
