Stunning to see the Milky Way dominating the night sky in its full glory. Along with the stunning display of green airglow underneath the photographer has not gone overboard with the editing but maintained great natural colour in such abundance. The landscape is so other-worldly and the reflection of the Milky Way just adds to the still and stunning nature of this image. The photographer has not only sought out the opportunity to see the Southern Hemisphere night sky but the effort gone into daytime planning and previsualising has really paid off. A true commitment not only to enjoying the night sky but also to sharing it with others.

This image to me is a masterpiece, there is so much to enjoy. Stunning detail in the Milky Way as it towers above the cotton balls of low cloud. The colour palette is gorgeous and the tonal balance with the shimmer of the wet sand and rocks is perfection. A striking and unique composition as all the elements came together beautifully.

Love this image. A true testament as to why more places should consider a curfew on unnecessary lights. The desaturated look gives it a true naked eye appearance and I feel like I'm standing on that street when enjoying this image.

It's very difficult to tell a story with a landscape astro image but this shot is full of it. I love the lone and sorry profile of the light, as if it knows it's doing bad by increasing light pollution. But even before the colours of twilight have faded, Orion the hunter has begun to dominate the sky above it. Lovely shot.
