The view is fantastic and this stood out and gave a great feeling of being there. I found it a little frustrating to look at since a slightly wider view would have improved it immeasurably. I can see it has been taken the widest focal length on the lens and I am guessing the photographer was thinking the same and maybe it was difficult to move back in this location.
Nice shot but feel it could have been a really great shot
It was a difficult choice but this image stood out for me. I think it captures the feeling of a dawn trek, which as photographers I suspect is familiar territory to many of us As a former climber it brought back memories of the darkness and cold that often marked the start of a big day in the mountains so resonated with me.
From a photographic point of view the image is skilfully composed, beautifully light and captures the moment so well. Congratulations!

There were many fantastic entries showing hikes, climbs and expeditions but I also wanted to choose some images that depicted putting everything on your back and setting off an adventure.
This image makes you wonder what their story is . Are they setting off or coming home from an adventure, is this their lifestyle and where they are going now,. A great story telling image and loved that they even have the dog carrying its share of the load!
Super shot

This image feels epic and was difficult for me to ignore. The viewpoint and composition really captures the sense of scale and epicness of the location. Most importantly it gives the viewer a sense of what it may be like to walk out there and this complimented by a fine description.
I would love to see this place one day, fabulous image

The photo-fit of the backpacker might be the 20-something thrill-seekers, scouring the trails of South East Asia or thumbing their way across the highways of the USA; but this intrepid brand of traveller is far harder to put in a box than it might at first appear. With increased connectivity making remote-working and travel easier than ever, 'the backpacker' is a far more complex character, and more prevalent than ever before.
