Ball Sports

This is a wonderful throwback to another time. Muddy pitches, cold wet weather. What it does show is the camaraderie that only team sports can give.. The close crop really does make us look at every detail. I grimace and laugh in equal measure. This is a funny sports photograph and the photographer really shows us a wonderful moment that can present itself on the pitch. The use of black and white elevates the documentary angle and you really could see this image in the back pages of a newspaper. Great technique and point of focus really does keep our attention on the picture. Superb capture.

One of the most unique images I've looked at for a long time. The use of the frame is excellent and the colors of the robes against the grey concrete setting really does make the whole scene come alive. The boy on the wall with his hands over his head is fully engrossed in the action and this really creates extra tension in the picture whilst the other boys to the edge of the frame could be looking at another game? The elevated camera position means we get to see all the action. It's wonderful to see a different side to what we normally expect of what happens in a monastry. Lovely capture. Well done.

The photographer has shown great technique to blur the background whit keeping all the main action in the center of the frame. The use of black and white means we really focus on the girls and the expressions on the faces caught perfectly here do show the passion that sport gives us. The common rivalries and intensity of the moment. The sense of movement within the frame only adds to the drama of a very well framed and caught image. All taken in a split second. Really well done.
