Stunning. Great capture of this bird in action on the move. This adds to the reality this image portrays. To have both feet of the ground at once makes it appear ass if it is walking on air. Love the sharpness and detail particularly against the distraction free de-focused background.

A stunning image. The striking eye color is what won me over. Not to mention the sharpness and detail throughout the subject of this image. Great to see it in its surroundings. Unique image I believe of all entries in this competition. A bird I have not seen before. A great capture to be proud of.

Meet the judge

Sharp!! Detailed!! Well Composed. A very striking image, so well captured. A stand out image from other entries of the same species in this competition. Great separation to its well handled background. It really pops. Not a bird I have seen before. Visually pleasurable.

Beautiful and very easy on the eye with its soft pastel palette but yet striking color is what I like about this image, so well captured. But still great contrast and separation to its well handled background. Not a bird I have seen before, but have heard of in conversation. Visually pleasurable.
