Black and white patterns and shapes

We really love this abstract and close-up capture of part of a building. The contrast between the light and shadows really make the shapes pop and enhances the three-dimensional feel of the image. This image fits our brief perfectly and is very striking.

This stunning image is very different from the other entires in this contest and that is why it really stood out for us. The curve and shape of the body is beautiful and the lines across the body adds interest and texture. Again, like the first place winner, this shot is high-contrast and striking.

The creativity and thought behind this shot is fantastic. We love the fact that is it made up of something as simple as cocktail umbrellas. The patterns, shapes and contrast created is really very beautiful and the composition has been very well thought-out.
