How wonderful a simple daisy can create such memories, most children at sometime sit down to make a daisy chain then grow up and pass the idea onto their children, it's one of our smallest flowers yet has a great impact on childhood,you have captured it perfectly in a large hand to show how small it is . This is a beautifully captured moment with a lovely memory attached, garden birds often crash into our windows , they fall ,stunned and then fly off, but to hold one is magic. Your conversion to black and white is excellent and proves to me that even without the colour you can still see the beauty of the Blue Tit. The overall image is very appealing and well framed and so deserving of my top ten, very well done.
There was many images entered where the entrants only read the title and didn't read the brief , now to this excellent image with a story to tell.....This is a great image for me,, it's a very well taken shot with the emphasis centred on the letter, the air mail letter is obviously treasured by the photographer and there is a beautifully explained reason for holding it in his or her hand ,the letter holds words that spurred action, the memories last forever, it says to me,"never leave things too late in life. Thank you for sharing a super story and great image with us and very well done on 1st place.
This image caught my eye because the whole scene capitulates new life in our hands, the planting of the seed to nurturing the plant to adulthood and then we reap the rewards of our labour, photograpically its a great image with great tones and contrast, the lighting hits the important elements of the image perfectly, the dirt on the hands tells me " you have to get your hands dirty sometimes to reap the rewards in life" thank you for sharing this with us and very well done on 3rd place.

For this challenge I would like to see something in the palm of your hand that tells a story, or can be interpreted into a story or have a meaning. No photoshop images & only BLACK AND WHITE please. Your image should have a title and a description of what your image is portraying. There should be no heads or other parts of the body, just the hands. The banner image is a great example - see what you can come up with. Only images that follow this brief will be considered, as always look out for those off brief images and judge them "not on brief" . I never follow the crowd when I'm judging. If you follow the brief exactly and you have a great image, you will be considered. Good luck.

Firstly ,thank you for following the brief by sharing an image and a what the image means to you .This image stood out for me, I was looking for images of an object in the palm of the hand that has a meaning to the photographer , the story accompanying this image brought a tear to my eye as it obviously means a great deal to the photographer ,an object that will always be cherished as will the memory. A super story and I'm so pleased you shared it with us. The black and white conversion and framing centres the subject perfectly for me when added with the super emotive story. Very well done . On 2nd place.
