Black & White Male Portraits

It is the clarity that draws me in to this photo. Very clear eyes and focus where it needs to be. Great range of black and white tones and spot on depth of field. Composition maybe a little better if the item in the foreground were not there, but still a gorgeous shot.

I love the atmosphere this photo gives off. Great black and white tones, with both eyes in focus, with a very sharp image of wonderful character. The light and shadow with emerging out from is also done quite well without it not being over done.

What a fantastic sense of soul and personality displayed here within the wonderful atmosphere. Great focus on both eyes and a sharp detailed face that certainly makes you feel he has a story to tell. This really draws you in and is very approachable. Great black and white tones and depth of field.

This photo was DISQUALIFIED from formal judging because it failed to follow the brief. Had the black and white tones been better and there were not colors of the rainbow in the photo, this would have been easily in my top 10. Also photo was to be shot from the waist up. That being said, it is a gorgeous shot.
