I am not a fan of using junxtaposition in street photography with billboards, advertising signs, or storefront signs. However, yours was quite unique. Instead of the sign making the individual, the individual makes the sign in your shot. I just loved it. It was a spot on shot with great lines being created in not only the subject matter, but also with the legs of the sign, and also the drainage grates wunning diagonally.

I love the closeness in this photo. For shooting legs in street photography, or from behind, it is as fearless as you can get. Close, clear, and focused. It draws me in and has me asking what could they be talking about, where can I get that shoe or ankle bracelet. It is anonymous yet detailed. Street photography is an art of conflicting desires. It is the desire to communicate, while at the same time the desire to remain hidden. I think this photo hits it perfectly.

Here I am looking for black and white street photography where the subject is shot from the waist down, with emphasis on the legs, so no faces to be seen. The subject can be male or female, from the front, side, or behind and it is fine if they are covered in clothing. People only, so please no animals. So whether they are seated, standing, running or walking lets see those legs.

A true great black and white capture as the black bottoms of shoes lead into the haze of the light. A very unique and original take on the brief. Life as seen from below. Great composition, contrast, and a unique depth of field caused by the floor. I also love how the floor joints or beams add to the geometry of the photo by pulling the random feet into something more cohesive.
