Blur

A very well composed shot of a women on a railway platform. For me this is a film noir type image. The figure is nicely positioned against the available light which highlights her flowing clothing. Being the only person in shot adds a little mystery to the image. This feeling is helped by the moving train and her stance, which appears relaxed and contemplative. Good leading lines and position of the figure take us through the image. Well captured and congratulations on making my top ten selection.

For me this image has a beautiful moody atmosphere. The muted tones of the buildings combined with the the figures in black give a chilly feeling. Just a little warmth from the tall orange/brown building. The perspective of the figures meeting the leading lines of the columns at the the rule of thirds forms an excellent composition. Nice capture and congratulations on making my top ten selection.

The combination of the soft pastels and gentle vortex really drew me into this image. The blur is very soft and gives the impression of speed but instead of danger the colors give a contradictory sense of relaxation. A beautiful image, well done and congratulations on being my number one choice.

A nice slow shutter exposure of Waterloo station. For me the exposure is spot on with some figures blurred and others sharp. This situation is Ideally suited to black and white, if it was in color the eye would be pulled to a brightly dressed individual and would not be free to wander around the image.There is plenty of motion that takes me right back to the many times that I have passed through this busy station. A very well observed and captured image. I can appreciate your patience to complete the capture you aimed for on this wet day. A speeding bus, but with the weather conditions obvious it leads to the conclusions that delays are possible. Excellent timing and camera skills to capture this clever image.
