I love the colors of this little guy. It contrasts well with the background of your image. Your spot on focus along with the blurred background provides for a perfect setting for a bokeh photograph. I love the composition of this thistle-like plant against the blurred green background. The violet colors of the thistle add a pop of color and the thorns just add the perfect detail. The thistle is kind f a nuisance in our area and you made it look beautiful. Great job on this bokeh style photograph and congratulations for making the top ten.

In this contest I would love to see your best photos that show bokeh. Bokeh is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced by the lens in the out-of-focus parts of an image. It is generally created when using a wide aperture to create a shallow depth of field, producing a soft foreground and/or backgroud, often with circular out-of-focus highlights to add visual appeal to your photos. Images can be any subject and may be in colour or black and white.
Love the capture of this little guy. You have included so much detail in this photo, from the snowflakes on his fur to the wetness of his paws.
