This is an absolutely stellar bokeh! I imagine by the softness of the image and the kind of bokeh that this is a vintage lens. The ladybug stands well against the monochromatic background and, despite the important bokeh, still hold its well earned space in the picture. A picture I would have liked to take myself! So delicate and dreamy! This picture really speaks of magic in the woods, where anything is possible. I find purple/blue and green are perfect together. The limited color palette and the shallow depth of field really help the in-focus bluebell stand out. Thank you for participating, really great work and congratulations on 2nd place!
This image is so particular and when I read which lens it was taken with I understood why and thought "I really have to get the Sweet35". A very clever use of bokeh that becomes something more than a simple background and is definitely part of the subject! Thanks for participating, congratulations on the image and the idea!

For this contest I want to see your photos with pretty bokeh. The bokeh must be obtained in-camera and not added in photo editing software. For the purpose of this contest, by bokeh I mean the round specks of light obtained with particular lighting conditions, not simply a creamy out of focus area. The bokeh can be in the background, foreground or even on the subject, if you have a very shallow depth of field. It may present as round shapes with wide apertures or you might see the shape of the lens diaphragm blades with a smaller aperture. Colour or black and white photos are both acceptable. Try to get creative with your entries.
