Books

I love how the use of colour and light, showing all different shades tone and variations can been seen as differing and unique books and stories each one drawing the viewer in. Aside from a slight adjustment to the framing this image is very bright in every sense of the word.

This image was so very close to taking the top spot mainly because it incorporates many of the same elements. i like to think the reader is looking off into the distance pondering the passage he has just read. the colour and light are amazing. Only improvement i would suggest is to frame the subject so as to not cut off the book next time.

the main thing in this photo that caught my attention was the use of light, the dappled light across the shelves, that coupled with the blurring of the background give an impression that there are just shelves upon shelves of books and stories all of which work together and really invoke the essence of this contest.

the thing i like about this photo is the use of the non-book elements, the soft focus around the autumn/dead leaves really invokes the desire to sit down and read a book with a hot cup of tea. getting that idea across in such a simplistic way put this image high in my view .

the uniqueness of this image caught my eye, this never ending tunnel of books going off into the distance, it makes one think about the vast amount of stories that can be told. i love how the image composition draws the eye in. overall it is a very interest take on the topic.
