Great contest!

Congratulations on 2nd place in my competition. This image has so many elements that make it great. The lighting, the sky, the colours and then the stones themselves. They all work together so well to create an image that really attracts your eye to it. I would happily have something like this up on my wall. Well done.

Congratulations for 3rd place. What an amazing monochrome image. the contrast in this image is wonderful and the highlights and shadows really stand out, meaning you can really see the texture of the bricks. Such wonderful tones and a perfect sky to top it off. Well done.

Congratulations on 1st place in my competition. This image stood out to me straight away as a winning image. I love the warm colours and I love the way the light hits the stones. I think getting down to a low angle and shooting along the stones works so well and gives a great perspective. Well done.

Congratulations for top 10. I chose this image because of the wonderful reflections seen in the lake. The brick bridge is so appealing to the eye. I also love the different colours of the tree's and the colour of the sky. All works together to make a beautiful image. Well done.

Congratulations for Top 10. The thing that caught my eye with this image was the different composition. I think it is really different and not one most would think of when taking an image of the bridge. I do like images that stretch the rules of photography but also make it work at the same time. Although the tree is in the foreground and takes up a good amount of the image, your eye sort of walks around that tree to see the bridge. I think this is because of the lighter area behind the bridge, and because you have used some shadowing from the sides to make them areas darker. Making you focus more on the bridge. Well done.

I am looking for your photos of bricks or stone in nature settings. Some examples of this may be a stone wall in woodlands, a brick house in the middle of a field, a stone sculpture by a pond, etc. The nature landscape and the stone or brick must both be visable, so please no close-ups of the brick or stone. Images can be in colour or black and white. I look forward to seeing your entries.
