Candid portraits

**Open to photographers with a ranking outside the top 1000. There are two other 'Candid portraits' contests currently open to other ranks. Take a look at the <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/leaderboard/">leaderboard</a> for more information on Photocrowd rankings.** Candid portrait shots are natural and unposed, bringing a level of authenticity to the subject and the setting. This type of photography doesn't necessarily have to be secret, but it does have to show natural and unforced situations. Dr Erich Salomon was one of the first to popularise this style as an art form and many others have continued to develop it since. The key here is to blend in and make people feel relaxed. Good luck!
