Candid portraits

**Open to photographers with a ranking outside the top 1000. There are two other 'Candid portraits' contests currently open to other ranks. Take a look at the <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/leaderboard/">leaderboard</a> for more information on Photocrowd rankings.** A candid portrait is one that’s natural and unposed in appearance. This is absolutely crucial if you want to capture an atmosphere, within your photo, that feels truly authentic, and where you can portray your subject in a totally honest light. This type of photography is challenging and you may need to be subtle, and even secretive, to shoot people when they’re totally uninhibited.
