Well done to the first place. From all the pictures that were entered this one was the most 'striking' for me. The composure of the shot is spot on and the lightning bolts add the dramatic aspects to this incredible shot. This feature makes this image - tho there were many entries featuring the Petronas Towers - very unique. Again, very well done.

One of my favourite buildings in the world despite its dark history. Have visited the stadium many times and I am thrilled to see it here in the competition. Composition and exposure for this long exposure are both spot on, I also like the low angle and the dramatic sky which both add perfectly to the mystic mood. Thanks again for participating and well done for making it into the Top 10.

Very nice shot and there were many entries with similar photos of the Hong Kong skyline. But this is the most striking one for me, the composition is great, the detail and lighting perfect. Very well done for making it into the top 10 of this competition.

When this picture came up in my preselection for commendation it was immediately clear to me that it is going to make it into the top 10. Taken in a war ridden country it is not only perfectly taken (composition and exposure are great despite the smoke over Kabul) but it was actually the mood and the emotions that came up in me that made me chose the picture. I am fairly sure that - in the good times - this Parliament Building was one of the gems in Kabul, its shocking to see what is left of it and it reminds me of pictures that were taken of the German Parliament just after the war all the way to the reunification. Very well done and thanks for sharing.

Very nice shot and there were many entries with similar photos of Paris. But this is the most striking one for me, the composition is great, the detail and lighting perfect. Very well done for making it into the top 10 of this competition.

Some of them are amongst the biggest cities on this planet, the capitals. Home of the rich and famous but also cultural hotspot of the masses and of course seats of government. Please share your best snaps of your travels across these magnificent cities, from skylines over waterways down to street photography level. BUT the picture needs to be a distinct representation of the country they represent. Means it can be the Eiffel Tower or simply some dude walking along the Seine river with a baguette under his arm. So far to the stereotypes ;-) And as you can see in the description.... London is excluded. So please dig deep into your archives and share wide.

I have chosen the commendation because I really like the mood of in this street scene. Nowadays it is so difficult to get good capital snaps without hords of tourists blocking every shot. Here you captured the daily life of one of most most buzzing cities in the world in a very beautiful way. The composition and lighting are great and its the perfect shot that would describe the genre of Street Photography.

Unfortunately there were so many amazing pictures in this contest, especially on top 10 contenders...and I hope it helps when I say WELL DONE to 11th place (from almost 1000 entries) with this amazing shot.
