Casting a Shadow

Congratulations on placing in the top 10 of my Casting a Shadow challenge! It's rare to see Stonehenge without large crowds of people. Great lighting and shadows, and sympathetic editing enhancing the mood. I don't see the roped barriers that were there when I visited a few years back. Would be interested to know if they are no longer there, or you removed them in the editing.

Congratulations on winning the Casting A Shadow challenge! I kept coming back to this one - it's very simple yet strikingly powerful. The sense of scale is beautifully captured, while the editing helps to enhance the height and isolation. Excellent composition.

Congratulations on 2nd place in my Casting a Shadow challenge! The very simple lines and colour palette make for a very painterly, almost abstract image. This image grabbed my attention straight away and remained among my favourites throughout the judging process.

Congratulations on 4th place in my Casting a Shadow challenge! Wonderful composition and editing to create a deceptively simple image, that's harder to capture than anyone might think. Perfect balance between light and dark - creating an almost yin-yang feel.

Congratulations on 3rd place in my Casting a Shadow challenge! Beautifully captured, photo with the tall, arched windows creating a sense of scale, while the light between the shadows contributes to the sense of isolation. It is a lovely composition.
