For this contest I would like to see those long passage ways and cloisters in Cathedrals. There may be sunlight streaming through the windows and arches and there may be some great stonework architecture, I do not want to see stained glass windows or alters. This is a BLACK & WHITE contest, the banner image is a good example for this contest. Test your skills ,sometimes a low shot can give a better image than a higher shot as the floor area plays a great part in creating a point of interest in the foreground, sometimes the use of flash can light areas not usually seen and sometimes natural light is better, you decide, a little HDR or curve can lift the textures. Although this is quite a serious brief please enjoy trying to get that perfect shot you can be proud of. I rely on the community to mark "not on brief" those that do not fit the brief.

How it works

Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.

Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
