Chopped!

Thank you for entering Chopped. There were obviously a number of entries with the focus on trees and logs, but this image was one of my favourites. I like the way the photographer has filled the frame and the fact that the logs are at an angle, as opposed to head on. The shapes, colours and textures are interesting and work well together.

Thank you for entering Chopped. As soon as I saw this image, I immediately thought of the festive season. I like the way the photographer has chopped up the apple and placed the knife at a jaunty angle. The addition of the icing sugar (flour?) gives the image more impact. A pleasing shot.

Thank you for entering Chopped. The colour combination attracted me to this image at first and on looking closer, I realised the combination of the different fruits - very creative. Aesthetically pleasing and well presented. Also, it has an element of fun about it.

Thank you for entering Chopped. When I created the contest, this was the kind of image I had in mind - something actually being chopped, i.e. the process. I believe there is a certain skill in creating this type of shot and I could definitely see it on a page in a food magazine. Good choice of subject and overall, a well presented entry.

Thank you for entering Chopped. I had hoped to see some chopping in process so this image has met that goal. Good subject choice - I like the textures and the balance of earthy tones. The tight cropping works well as the image shows what’s intended to be seen.
