Colour Contrasts

Nature has many ways of stunning us and this is a perfect example. I love the fact that the contrasting object fills the frame and doesn't distract from the vivid colours by showing some background, apart from a tiny bit. Clear and well composed, great entry.

What a great composition for this brief, as it demonstrates the colour contrast perfectly while being intriguingly different. For another contest I would have loved to see more of the peacock and less of the door(?) on the left of the image, but for here it's simply stunning. Well done.

Wow, I couldn't take my eyes of this image, once I saw it. It is stunning on so many levels, of which 'colour contrast' is only one, although a highly visible one. The diversity of our photocrowd community has again delivered an ace. At first glance it's so straight forward, but as you look closer, the journey of discovery begins. There is so much to see and it is certainly a very worthy winner. Congratulations.

Beauty, clarity and simplicity - that's what this image is all about in the most wonderful way. Your eye for the detail in this brilliant composition is exemplary in order to maximise the impact. The diagonal composition works a treat as ever, but it is the tiny detail of the flower centre matching the yellow that gives it the edge over a number of similar images. Great job.

I really love the simplicity of this image, even though I did struggle with plenty of entries where the background provided the contrast. This composition works for me, as the colour of choice for the background is bright and visible - not black! Brilliant composition, thanks.
