Colour Studio Style Portraits (no HDR)

Clean and crisp, this photo is absolutely stunning, it's perceived simplicity belies the amount of work that has obviously been put into this worthy winner.

I was very specific in my brief, and this photo was one of a very few that not just fully met that challenge, but is a joy to behold, well done to you

Most of the images in the top ten show a darker background, this bright white background shows the colours of this image off to a great degree. The side profile given by this image is also in stark contrast to many other photos that got through the selection process, the colours in the clothing and flowers also showing that contrast, to bring a worthy top 10 placing

Either by the use of blinds or strips cut in paper in front of the light source this image shows how the photographer or sty;ist has given such thought to the ways in which they wanted to light the subject.

I cannot stay away from this image, it's beguiling in its simplicity, all the elements of this add to a much greater sum of its parts.

I challenge anyone to really look at this image for more than a couple of seconds and not find the same level of complexities in such a simple image

The eyes here pull you in to look further in and around the image, the lighting and depth of field used n this image is key. Soft in places, harder in others. As soon as I saw this image entered I felt that it would do well in this competition.
