This has always been one of my top three images and was only just pushed into second place, the pin sharp shot of the robin is perfectly captured and expertly processed. The robin is a favorite bird of mine with a cheeky character that is on display in this image. The waiting game can be many hours before you are presented with an opportunity as good as this and the photographer got an image that I returned to many times as I did with the winning image.
What a beautiful and worthy winner of this competition, the blue tones compliment the light in this image creating an abstract feel to it. Every time I view it I seem to see something new in the image.
The smokey haze and light creates a wonderfully soft dreamy feel.
It takes an accomplished and clever photographer to see and capture scenes such as this and then expertly process it.
Congratulations on taking first place in this competition.

I feel your pain when forgetting your anniversary, the image certainly made me uneasy when first viewing it. I say that as a compliment as this is certainly a different style of portraiture, the toning works within the image and focused on the main reason which is anger.
The processing has been accomplished perfectly as your attention is always focused on the face of the subject.
It is a great image which caught my attention very early in the judging process.

Colour toning an image ties it together with an overall feeling or impression. Photoshop is a great tool for photographers, for many reasons, one of which is giving an image the perfect shade or hue to make it really pop. You can add colour to a black and white image or simply give an edge to an existing colour shot – the choice is yours.

This is a beautiful picture capturing the harsh cold winter morning, the tones within the image enhancing that feel of wintertime.
I would have liked a lighter touch to the structure and sharpening within the image but the vignette perfectly prevents the eye wandering away from the main focus in the centre.
I love wintertime which has been captured beautifully by the photographer.
What a great image of this building captured and processed perfectly. The image works for me - enough definition but plenty of softness too. and the toning and light is perfect.
I have not been very successful with abstract and multiple exposure images, so I am always in awe of photographers who can capture these images. A deserved top 10 image.
