Colourful portraits

This is a fantastic colourful portrait. The rich splashes of colour make this an eye catching shot. By successfully capturing the subject up close and looking directly at us makes it far more engaging for the viewer. By setting a wide aperture the photographer has isolated the subject from his surroundings, but by positioning him off-centre it also reveals part of the story, giving us an insight into what's happening around him. We can't see the eyes of the other people in the portrait, which makes our main subject really stand out as we're drawn straight to his. Overall a great captivating and colourful shot.
