Colourful wildlife

My first glance told me this was an elegant and vibrant shot, looking closer I realized that the depth of field was perfect to tell the story of the vastness of pink against the blue sky and water. The colors came straight out of a paint box. The shutter sped captured the front birds with exacting sharpness as the Flamingos waded through the water. This shot is pleasing to the eye and technically perfect.

What a great motion shot of this wonderful Pheasant. Capturing the movement in his wings just brings this shot to life but a slightly faster shutter speed would have made his face tack sharp. .He just looks as proud of punch in all his glorious spring plumage. A perfect British Spring countryside photograph.

What a pose, the one that all photographers want to capture of Chameleons.Set against the black background and less vibrant green leaves his colors pop. Every scale is shown at its best with the tack sharp focus from the front to the back of the image.

The spot on focus and depth of field makes this a mesmerizing shot. By placing the image center frame emphasis the perfect symmetry of the eyes. When I look at this shot I marvel at the patience it must have taken to accomplish. Macro photographers are certainly a different breed, blessed with a steady hand and untold patience.

This yellow jacket is flying right off the screen with every hair and barb in perfect focus a hard feat to achieve with flying insects. The color of the yellow jacket and the vibrant purple background compliment each other so well making a beautiful composition. I really like the fact that there is no extra distractions in this shot, just the Yellow Jacket in all his glory.

This is a quintessential farm photograph that just makes me smile, I can’t help wondering how happy this rooster must be. The colours and softness tell a story of summer days on the farm that we don’t see so much anymore. Amongst all that soft greenery the rooster is tack sharp and perfectly placed.

This caught my eye immediately and I’m not a fan of abstract photography at all, but the crop you chose held my attention long enough for me to look deeper at the patterns and colors. This is truly beautiful. A photograph to be proud of.
